Festival of San Miguel Arcángel Schedule is Announced

The program for the Festival of San Miguel Arcángel has been announced. These are the liturgical activities with which they will be celebrating the patron saint.

There are scheduled processions in the communities it represents, its novena and pilgrimages from different colonies, and the big festival that will begin on September 29, on the day of San Miguel Arcángel, with its mañanitas, then on Saturday, October 1, the traditional dawn with the stars, the confirmations of girls and boys, the entrance of the xúchiles, several masses in his honor and much more.

PROGRAM

Of the processions with the pilgrim image of the Archangel San Miguel in the communities, these are taking place from August 31 to September 19, where the communities of Cerritos, San Agustín, Los González, San Antonio de las Cuevitas, San Valente, La Playa, Cabrera, Tovares, Venturina, Moral, Talega, Organs, San José de Gracia, Santa Elena, Luz de Jacales, San Julián, La Amistad and Landeta. At 4:00 p.m. the image is received and at 5:00 p.m. a Eucharistic celebration.

Of the pilgrimages of the colonies, these are from September 22 to October 1. There will be from the Cuesta de San José, Infonavit La Luz, the Corn Valley, San Juan de Dios, the Chorro, the Ignacio Ramírez market, the Royal Exit to Querétaro and the Railway Station, at 5:00 in the afternoon where we will be accompanied by some groups of crazy people, dances and horseback riding.

The novena prayer is from Friday, September 23 to Sunday, October 2. During these days there will be Eucharists at 7:00 am, 8:00 am, 12:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

Friday, September 30

8:00 pm – Temple of the Holy School / Board of A. N. M. shift
9:00 pm – Solemn Pastoral Vigil of Mexican night worship.
11:00 pm – Concelebration of the holiday.

Saturday, October 1

04:00 am – Traditional “Alborada”.
07:00 am – Holy Eucharist celebration.
08:00 am – Holy Eucharist celebration at Holy School.
10:00 am – Confirmations. First batch.
12:00 pm – Second batch confirmations. Eucharist in honor of St. Michael the Archangel.
01:15 pm – Eucharist in the main square with pilgrims, horseback riding to Cristo Rey, Santa María de Guadalupe and San Martín de Terreros.
04:00 pm – Eucharist. Pilgrimage rural communities.
05:00 pm – Great Pilgrimage of dances and xúchiles, from the bridge of Guanajuato to the parish atrium.
07:00 pm – Exhibition of the Blessed Sacrament and Rosary.
07:45 pm – Blessing of the Blessed Sacrament.
08:00 pm – Celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
09:30 pm – Fireworks Celebration
