Mauricio Trejo is touring the United States with the objective of strengthening the economy and tourism in the city.

The mayor of San Miguel de Allende will visit Colorado to sign a twinning agreement with the city of Aspen, which is considered one of the main tourist cities in the United States; later he will travel to New York to formalize the arrival of the World Trade Center in San Miguel de Allende.

Prior to the tour of 100 leaders of the different San Miguel guilds, Trejo mentioned that:

“While the U.S. embassy generates a “red card”, San Miguel de Allende on the 31st of this month signs a twinning with Aspen, Colorado, a tourist icon in the United States, and the big capitals of the United States have interests in Aspen, Colorado; if there were not confidence in San Miguel de Allende and in the Sanmiguelenses, they would never be accepting this twinning, besides, we have an appointment at the World Trade Center in New York because they are going to announce that it is coming to San Miguel de Allende, the world business center, that is confidence in San Miguel de Allende. San Miguel is becoming an oasis, while all or many parts of Mexico are going up in flames, San Miguel de Allende is pulling and pulling well”.

First, in Aspen, the mayor will sign a twinning agreement that consists of a collaboration agreement on tourism promotion and dissemination between both cities to promote San Miguel as a tourist destination, highlighting that it is the “Best Wedding Destination in Mexico”.

In addition, through a meeting with chambers and associations of Aspen, he will strengthen the attraction of potential clients by supporting and sponsoring tourism events, to promote them and create alliances that benefit the entire value chain of both cities.
