Turkey Tennis Tournament in San Miguel de Allende

The “Turkey Tournament” was held in the new tennis courts of the Municipal Sports Unit “Luis H. Ducoing Gamba”.

The “Turkey Tournament” was held in San Miguel de Allende, a tournament that brought together more than 90 tennis players who participated in five categories, who showed their competitive level according to their age.

The competitive event was held by the municipality, through the Municipal Sports Commission (Comude), in the new tennis courts of the Municipal Sports Unit “Luis H. Ducoing Gamba”.

 “We had a very intense week of the tournament. This tournament was local, at the municipal level, later we want to grow and try to reach the national (level). We continue to invite people to participate, we have the classes,” said René Jiménez, tennis teacher and organizer of the municipal tournament.

These were the winners in each category

A Open Mixed Adults: Jose Olegario Hernandez

B Mixed: Manuel Monroy

C Mixed: Reyes Ramírez Flores

Mixed Rookies: Raul Vallejo

Rookie Children: Regina Lovato.

The first place in the Mixed Open Adult category A was awarded a whole piece of turkey, while the winners of the other adult categories were awarded a cash prize, as were the finalists; the children were given sports equipment and all the tennis players were given recognition by the Municipality, for their outstanding participation.
