R.I.P Tony Adlerbert! Founder of “Feed the Hungry”

Rest in peace Tony Adlerbert! the man who helped alleviate hunger for families and children in San Miguel de Allende

Tony Adlerbert arrived in San Miguel de Allende to change the lives of thousands of San Miguel de Allende by helping to alleviate their hunger through an organization that continues to stand and advance: Feed The Hungry.

He and his fellow citizens came to San Miguel de Allende to adopt it as their second home, where they decided to leave their mark and create an association that has no other purpose than to feed those who are hungry and educate their families about good eating habits.

That work that Tony Aldlerbert brought to San Miguel de Allende in 1984, today advances relentlessly and uniting foreign and Mexican citizens who seek to support those in need.

40 years ago, Tony went to work and never stopped. Together with Mexicans and foreigners they brought school kitchens to the most deprived communities, they taught families to prepare healthy food so that no child was left without food when they were in school.

With the Feed The Hungry foundation, they brought and still carry warm food to orphanages, institutions for children with disabilities and nursing homes where the grandparents of San Miguel de Allende rest, through charities.

It was in the COVID 19 pandemic that Feed The Hungry became a crucial help for families who were left without work and therefore without food. Together with other associations, they brought thousands of families to safety.

Tony Adlerbert 40 years ago began to trace a different way of life that today continues non-stop.
Tony Adlerbert left his mark on San Miguel de Allende and today we bid him farewell with honors, thanking him for what he did for thousands of children and their families.
