After the puddles and other damages caused by the heavy rains reported by the Secretariat of Integral Risk Management and Civil Protection in most of the country, the rain forecast will remain.

According to the National Meteorological Service (SMN) in its most recent communiqué to the population, the following are expected:

Rainfall with torrential accumulations in Oaxaca and Veracruz; heavy rains in Chiapas, Puebla and Tabasco.

Very heavy rains in Campeche, Colima, State of Mexico, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Morelos, Nayarit, Quintana Roo and Tlaxcala.

Heavy rains in Mexico City, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí and Yucatán; showers in Durango, Guanajuato, Sinaloa and Tamaulipas.

Isolated showers in Aguascalientes, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Sonora and Zacatecas.

In addition, wind gusts of 60 to 70 km/h and tolvaneras are expected in the north of Chihuahua, Coahuila and Sonora; as well as gusts of 50 to 60 km/h in Aguascalientes, Baja California, Campeche, Durango, the Gulf of California, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Nuevo León, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Yucatán and Zacatecas.

The above, they said, will be generated by the strong entry of humidity favored by two low-pressure zones, one in the Pacific Ocean and the other in the southwest of the Gulf of Mexico.

In addition, they specified that both zones have a high potential for cyclonic development in the coming days, and are combined with a low-pressure channel extended along the Sierra Madre Occidental and with upper atmospheric instability.

At dawn on Monday, minimum temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees Celsius and possible frost are expected in mountainous areas of Chihuahua, Durango, and the State of Mexico.

Meanwhile, high temperatures will remain in the northwest, west, north, and northeast of the country, with values of 40 to 45 degrees Celsius in Baja California and Sonora, and 35 to 40 degrees Celsius in Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Guerrero, Michoacán, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa and Tamaulipas.

To stay informed about weather conditions in the coming hours, you can do so through Conagua’s website, as well as the SMN, Facebook, Twitter, and the ConaguaClima app.
