Amazon arrives in Guanajuato

    This week, the Amazon Shipping Center in Guanajuato will begin operations; it is the eleventh in the country and will generate 500 job opportunities for Guanajuato residents.

    Governor Diego Sinhué signed a collaboration agreement with this world-class company to promote the digitalization of Guanajuato companies.

    The State Governor said that it is a source of pride to share with the directors of Amazon Mexico, the start-up of this modern shipping center, which has 37,000 square meters and is located in the León Bajío Industrial Park (PILBA).

    This center will serve not only Guanajuato, but also the states of Querétaro, Michoacán, San Luis Potosí and Aguascalientes.

    It will also generate 500 job opportunities for the people of Guanajuato.

    This Center complements a very important structure in the company’s national distribution logistics, adding to the other 10 Centers, as well as the 31 Delivery Stations that already exist in Mexico.

    This new space has an extension capacity equivalent to six Club Leon stadiums.

    “Thank you for your confidence in Guanajuato, here you will continue to grow, together we are making Guanajuato the Greatness of Mexico,” said the Governor.

    The event was attended by the General Director of Amazon Mexico Operations, Diego Méndez de la Luz; who highlighted that Guanajuato represents an important pole of development in addition to having an ideal logistics and infrastructure for the growth of this company. “We are going to have a faster service with this center”.

    He said that Amazon in Mexico has generated more than 15 thousand direct and indirect jobs, and has invested more than 20 billion pesos.

    Amazon supports the development of the localities where its employees live and work, through 10 Shipping Centers: five in the State of Mexico, and the others distributed in Jalisco, Nuevo León, Sonora, Baja California, and Yucatán, to which Guanajuato is now added, and 31 Delivery Stations in the country.
