  • Join us at Café Murmullo, located on Ancha de San Antonio #24, on Sunday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m. where seasoned storytellers, Jade Wong, Rhoda Draws, Stephanie Medlock, Béa Aaronson, Amber Chand, and Zora Berger, will delight attendees with stories about Unexpected Developments.

Jade Wong grew up in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin where she developed a strong love for cheese curds. Now she lives in Northern California where the cheese is good but the cows really not that happy. She herself is quite happy when visiting San Miguel.

Rhoda Draws is from the USA, and moved to SMA 6 years ago. She is an artist specializing in figure drawing, cartooning and urban sketching. She teaches small groups her techniques for “Sketching Fast & Loose” on location. Rhoda is working on a graphic memoir and developing monologs based on her life experiences. She encourages women to re-invent themselves at any age.

Stephanie Wilson Medlock is a writer, novelist, memoirist and storyteller. She loves to perform stories and has reveled in the years taking Goodman storytelling classes. Stephanie has performed her stories around Chicago, and also helped launch the San Miguel International Storytelling Festival in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. In 2013. Her latest novel, An Improbable Companion, will be published by Dorrance Publishing in 2024. An earlier work, The Lives of Things, is available on Amazon.

Paris born Béa Aaronson, PhD, is a VISUAL and VERBAL multimedia artist, art critic, curator, award-winning poet, published author, international lecturer, independent scholar, stage performer and movie actress.

Amber Chand is an inspirational speaker and storyteller, visionary life coach, author, artist and entrepreneur. As an Indian woman born in Uganda who was expelled from her country by a tyrannical dictator in her youth, she today speaks on the power of the resilient spirit in our world and through her one-woman show, Searching For The Moon, has taken her audiences on a remarkable journey into her life story across three continents. She is the author of the book Dear Beloved: Sacred Messages to the World and is currently working on Tales of The Boatwoman, a book that is part fable, part memoir, part wisdom teachings.

A healer in every sense of the word, Dr. Zora serves as an instrument of positive change, compassion, and well-being worldwide. A sought-after speaker, author, chiropractor and holistic life catalyst, she brings her extensive experience and training together as she guides people of all ages toward self-love and self-care; connecting with earth and spirit; and living consciously and authentically. She is inspired to share stories from the heart, to help us realize how resilient, courageous, and truly magnificent we humans are.
