We finally returned to have lunch at Cafe Muro. The last time we were there was when they were located in Centro. We loved it then and happy to say the same now. Great food and service. It is worth the search to find them. We will return.
I can highly recommend Dr Robert Cervantes. He is a very thorough and compassionate doctor. Although his main office is at Star Medico in Queretaro, he does have office hours at la joya here in SMA. His contact number is 442 195 8392. He has always answered my calls and emails in a very timely manner.
About 2 months ago I went to La Joya at about 4am to the emergency room for care. I was met by my doctor and the night health caregivers. Although the hospital is new many or maybe all of the doctors have been there for many years. It has been remodeled and I felt like it was also modernized. I have been receiving very good care in that location for many years so I felt at home. From my emergency room treatment to my comfortable room the next night I received excellent and loving care from everyone I came in contact with. When ever I needed something there was someone at my side almost immediately. I can’t praise them enough.
This outdoor spot is a reincarnation of Nicosio that used to be on Hidalgo. Remember the duck? Five of us asked him for a degustacion, and did he (and his wife Yaya) ever deliver! Organic produce grown on premises. Exquisite presentation. Iced cafe de olla. Sun dried fruits and vegetables dehydrating in a glass case at the entrance. The bill for 5 courses for the five of us was somewhat less than 1800 pesos (no alcohol); maybe not cheap but a bargain by my measure. Look them up on Facebook and/or call 415-100-4111. Open Wed-Sun, breakfast through 7pm. It’s along the road to Taboada, off the highway to Dolores.
We hadn’t been to Mario’s seafood restaurant in quite a while, but Don Day in SMA reminded us to go back. We are so glad we did. Oysters are in season and they were fabulous. Fresh and tasty and better than any I ever had in Boston. Mario said he had fresh crab meat so of course we had a couple of nice tostados as a second course. For mains, we shared an order of swordfish, also in season and delicious, and an order of lobster tails. You get two tails, so it was easy to share. These are rock lobsters, different from Maine lobsters, but excellent.
There is no outdoor seating, but tables are widely spaced and there was no one else there. We will go back again before oyster season ends. The photos attached are of the oysters and a plate with both the swordfish and the lobsters. BTW, the coconut rice was delicious.
Mario’s Mariscos is located at Salida a Celaya #83A. t is open from 11 am to 8 pm seven days a week.
I would like to HIGHLY recommend physical therapist , Abby Abbot.
She is professional, knowledgable, and understanding – as someone who actively uses their body I needed a therapist who could listen, help me see things from a different perspective and augment what I was already doing. I look forward to our sessions!
For any issue, I recommend her check out her website for her specialty in hip/pelvis/pelvic floor.
Do not miss eating at Rinconcito Restaurant, Calle Refugio Norte #7
Miguel’s bacon-wrapped shrimp is the best ever.
Side dishes are excellent also. Not expensive and very polite and friendly staff.
Miguel and Mercedes have had this restaurant for many years. Don’t miss out on this one.
I have had experience with a death and Jardines Neuva Vida. The person had a prepaid cremation contract with them. The circumstances of his death were pretty awful, but the company came through in all respects, including accompanying his son to whatever legal things were necessary whenever they were necessary, doing the cremation of course, and taking care of all the required paperwork. This was almost three years ago. That’s my only experience with them, but it was good. I also have a prepaid cremation contract with them, and assume it will go as well. Of course, if it doesn’t, it’s not my problem!
This is the only car service that we use. You can schedule a pick-up for later and they are always on time.

Make a note of Merken Campestre.

Omar is our guy for all auto repairs. Quality service at fair prices.
