  • Susan Santiago, an artist and owner of the Galeria San Francisco, always had a dream of moving to San Miguel de Allende and opening a gallery, where she would showcase her work, as well the work of fellow artists living in San Miguel. The gallery is committed to promoting talented artists, who live in San Miguel de Allende, as well offering an educational experience in the arts. The gallery offers a large variety of art classes throughout the year, taught by experienced teachers, and working artists, all of whom show their work in the gallery.

      “Lovely gallery overlooking the Jardin”

This gallery, owned by the very welcoming Susan Santiago, is filled with great art, sculpture, and jewelry by local artists. There seems to be something for just about anyone’s taste and budget. Additionally, they frequently offer art classes on site, and I just took two fabulous ones by mixed media artist Jane Dill. She is an excellent teacher, offering demos and practice every step of the way, so people feel pretty confident as they begin working on their final pieces. I was delighted with the work I completed, plus I have all sorts of information and material to take home with me so I can (hopefully) do more mixed media projects on my own. Both the gallery and the classes are highly recommended.

This galley is a most stop on your “artists of San Miguel venture” around town. I always find something new there… and I love their variety of artists… along with their attention to fine arts!! Don’t miss out on this challenge to access gallery… the entrance is around the corner from the Garden… with a staircase in a store to access 🙂 I guarantee it will be worth the trip!!

Jane Dill is an excellent, inspirational and generous teacher. Highly recommend.
She shares her knowledge and works well with the group and gives individual attention.
Galeria San Francisco is a charming art gallery showcasing various local artists.
It is also a wonderful place to take classes and is conveniently located.

We visited the gallery with friends and this one is a must see! It is right on El Jardin and has a fantastic view of the square. There are works from multiple artists. All very talented. We fell in love with a couple of pieces and they will be in our house in Long Beach CA.
