Visiting the country’s Magical Towns is an excellent opportunity to learn about the culture and history of other territories at an affordable price. And what better opportunity than this long weekend, which lasts until Monday, February 7.

Holidays are not only an opportunity to relax and get away from routine, they are also the perfect pretext to go out with family, friends, loved ones, or take a trip alone.

Don’t think about it too much, pack your bags and go on an adventure. Here in La Verdad Noticias we share a list of four Magical Towns to live this experience.

Real de Monte, Hidalgo: this Magic Town is considered the highest in the country and is located fifteen minutes away from Pachuca, the capital of the state of Hidalgo. It stands out for having been the scene of great historical events. It is ideal for tasting pan de nata, pulque, cocoles, pastes, and above all, the English miners’ lunch.

Tequisquiapan, Querétaro: its colonial charm captivates everyone who visits it, since its mild climate invites you to visit its handicraft markets and enjoy its gastronomic delights. An ideal activity is to visit Viñedos La Redonda, an open-air space among lush trees.

San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato: this destination with colonial-era architecture is known for its active art scene in its cobblestone streets and its cultural festivals. The most emblematic place is La Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, iconic for its Mexican neo-Gothic architecture, inspired by a postcard of the German cathedral in Cologne.

Bacalar, Quintana Roo: called the Lagoon of seven colors, due to its impressive area of natural shades of blue, it is the lagoon located in a region with attractive private houses or inns to rent or even spend the night camping. It was incorporated into the Magical Towns program in 2006.

Who grants the title of Magical Town?

The appointment is made by the Federal Ministry of Tourism, with the support of technical documents, to designate a town as a Magical Town, which certifies compliance with the requirements for incorporation or permanence in the Magical Towns Program.

How much does it cost to travel from CDMX to Pueblo Mágico El Oro?

El Oro is the Magical Town you must visit, it is located in the State of Mexico and is full of nature, traditions, and culture that you will love to see firsthand.
