PNUD and SMA sign agreement to design municipal development plan 2040

    The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Mexico and the Municipal Institute for Planning, Innovation and Supervision of Plan 2040 of San Miguel de Allende signed a collaboration agreement for the implementation of the project called “Municipal Development Plan 2040 of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato”.

    This agreement will strengthen municipal long-term planning instruments and public policies focused on sustainable development for the benefit of the people of San Miguel de Allende. It represents the technical assistance in the elaboration of the plan that integrates a diagnosis, defines the objectives, strategies and the execution of actions that promote the participation of the citizens through work tables for the inclusion of proposals.

    It also contemplates the accompaniment in the construction of the monitoring system to design the indicators and the strategy to supervise the progress of the goals of the Municipal Development Plan 2040; these components include the respective training of municipal officials who will have access to two workshops on Logical Framework Methodology and Construction of Indicators.

    Thanks to this collaboration agreement, the government of San Miguel de Allende will have a Municipal Development Plan that integrates a long-term vision and incorporates the 2030 Agenda approach.
