Jóvenes Adelante Partners with the Best in New Strategic Alliances

Newly updated mission and vision statements set higher expectations for ongoing impact in México, not only for our incoming class of 2024, but for the classes of 2025 and 2026. New alliances help pave the way:

    •  TECNOLÓGICO DE MONTERREY / LÍDERES DEL MAÑANA PROGRAM:

With 84 campuses in Mexico including neighboring Queretaro, internationally hefty Tec Monterrey is the most prestigious private university in Mexico, accepting only 200 of over 20,000 applications received per year from around the world.

Líderes del Mañana is Tec Monterrey’s most complete in-house scholarship program. In a new pilot alliance, JA  partners with Líderes del Mañana  to provide education-specific living expenses and other crucial support for these pre-vetted superstar students, filling a gap in Líderes del Mañana’s available support. The gap perfectly matches not only JA’s scholarship level, but entry profiles and expectations are totally aligned.

One student for 2024 has already been accepted, as we await results from 4 others during both our and Líderes del Mañana’s selection process.

This pilot alliance is potentially the most significant advance in Jóvenes Adelante’s history, providing access to some of Mexico’s brightest students attending the “Harvard” of Mexico.

“Students need to understand course material. But they also need to understand themselves.

Entering the workforce is a big change for students. Give them the self-awareness they need to get the best start to their career.”

    • BIRKMAN:
“Students need to understand course material. But they also need to understand themselves.

Entering the workforce is a big change for students. Give them the self-awareness they need to get the best start to their career.”

On a pilot basis, JA is partnering with the Birkman International Foundation, provider of one of the most valuable, high level assessment tools currently used in international business. Details are still under development in this exciting new application.

    CLASS OF 2024 PROFILE UPDATE

    • Greater weight will be placed on merit and high impact potential, with priority given to those with established commitment to social service and English, a minimal GPA of 9.0, and those attending high quality public universities and select local private tech institutions;
    • “Finish line” students — in college with proven success academically but needing financial support to continue — can now receive our support to “break the ribbon” and graduate. Most have only 2 years of university remaining. JA will be there for the best of the best and guide them through the toughest final years at university, as they transition to their professional practices, and then into the work force.

We cannot do this without financial support and we are actively seeing sponsorships now in the following categories:

    • A full undergrad sponsorship
    • A half sponsorship (JA manages this)
    • Pool your funds with others (JA manages this)
    • A new master’s student
    • A new laptop or professional credentialing
