The city of San Miguel de Allende is the spearhead in terms of security in Guanajuato, being the only municipality that fully complies with the 45 commitments of the Comprehensive Public Security Strategy set by the state.

Since the beginning of the current administration of San Miguel de Allende, headed by the municipal president Mauricio Trejo, it is emphasized that the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) has worked constantly in the improvement of its institutions and service, to safeguard the peace and tranquility of the sanmiguelenses and visitors.

Currently the city has already positioned itself as the best in Guanajuato, being the only municipality that fulfilled 100% with these commitments, to strengthen operations, its information technologies, crime prevention and civil protection actions.

San Miguel advances in security

It should be noted that in the last month of the last Municipal Administration (September 2021), San Miguel de Allende was below the state average, ranking 28th out of the 46 municipalities in Guanajuato. In twelve months it has become the best municipal agency and has surpassed municipalities such asLeón, Yuriria and Irapuato.
