“This Administration will not leave them alone. They strive on a daily basis for the conservation and development of their communities, for the conservation and defense of their natural resources, “said the municipal trustee in front of the 100 women attendees, who come from the rural communities of the municipality.

The IMAM began this day of the 14th anniversary of the International Day of Rural Women with the ceremonial act, which was also attended by the councilors Enedina Correa and María Ortiz, as well as Maricarmen Valdivia of the Institute of Guanajuato Women (IMUG), Guadalupe Ramírez as representative of the Ministry of Health of Guanajuato, the director of Environment and Sustainability Alejandro Castro, in addition to the queen of the peasant Maricruz I.

During this event, the symbolic delivery of recognitions was made to 11 sorora women, who are an example of empathy with other women and stand out for their resilience in the face of cases of personal, family and social adversity.

For his part, the director of Environment and Sustainability donated 50 trees (pine, palo dulce, willows and oaks) and the beneficiaries signed the commitment to serve them so that they flourish in their respective homes.

Subsequently, workshops began on ‘Rural Women’, ‘Family Gardens’, ‘Rural Women’ and ‘covid-19 and prevention measures for caregivers’, in addition to enabling an area to encourage children’s creativity.
