Mayor-elect of San Miguel de Allende receives threats: ‘I am neither intimidated nor am I going to stop; we are going against the real estate mafia’

The elected mayor of San Miguel de Allende, Mauricio Trejo Pureco, has been the victim of threats against his integrity; in the calls they demand that he “not mess with the fractionations” that were approved in the last 6 years.

With calls made from numbers in other states, Trejo Pureco points out that the threats increased during the last weeks and said:

“They don’t intimidate me and I’m not going to stop. The commitment I made to the people of San Miguel is fulfilled because it is fulfilled. I will continue as far as I can against the real estate mafia.”

He stressed that he has detected more than 20 developments that did not comply with feasibilities, with the permits, with which they diverted the water from the sanmiguelenses to give them to them and made public works to benefit them . ”
