GIFF 2022: The best films of the festival

Titles that must be kept in the spotlight.

The twenty-fifth edition of the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) came to an end on July 31 and, in its passage through León, San Miguel de Allende and Irapuato left several titles to have in the sights the rest of the year. Or the time they require for a possible commercial premiere or their passage through more festivals and platforms. Here are some of the best films we had the opportunity to see at the last GIFF 2022.

In addition to his record (which crowned A Piece of Sky as the Best International Fiction and Children of the Mist in the Documentary category), the different sections, in sample or in competition, presented a rich panorama of global cinema, including Mexican.
