2022 El Grito de Dolores!

The Ceremony of the Cry of Dolores in Guanajuato will be reactivated in person in the 46 municipalities of the state on September 15, after being held without crowds for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The festivities will last from September 15 to 18, it is planned to be carried out in various cultural and commercial activities, with concerts throughout the state.

In Dolores Hidalgo, Cradle of National Independence, the traditional cry of Independence will be held by the governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, which will also have the celebration in person in the center of the city, in the parish of the Virgen de los Dolores, where in 1810 the Priest Hidalgo called for the struggle.

It should be noted that since September began, the city of Dolores Hidalgo began with its patriotic celebrations and with the traditional decoration of the main square, the lighting of the tricolor lights, rockets and regional Mexican music, since it is one of the most visited cities in this patriotic month.

Also in San Miguel de Allende the traditional Cry of Independence will be held, and will continue with its San Miguel de Allende Fair 2022, which will be held from September 26 to October 9 of this year.

In Guanajuato Capital, the shout will also be held in person, with concerts and conferences from the viewpoint of Pípila, while the ceremony will be in the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, where the first insurgent battle was fought.
