The health field is fundamental for any country and although many times attention is only paid to the public sector, in reality, the private counterpart is also important. The more spaces available, the better for patients because they will have more options. With this in mind, the MAC Hospitals chain reached a historic milestone showing accelerated growth.

Today the company announced that it acquired the operations of H+ Hospitals in Los Cabos and Queretaro. This now makes it the second largest private hospital chain in Mexico.

“We have a great opportunity in front of us and a common focus among the leadership teams of both organizations to continue growing,” said Miguel Isaac Khoury Siman, CEO, and founder of Hospitales MAC.

From Celaya to the rest of the country
As part of this unprecedented increase, he recalled that more than 14 years ago the first MAC Hospital was inaugurated in the country. The original idea was to improve the quality of medical-hospital services in Celaya, but it was soon realized that there were other cities that needed the same.

Instead, it has 16 hospitals in operation and 5 soon to be inaugurated. This is a figure that very few can boast of and with which it is at the forefront in Mexico.

“There are still many cities and patients who need us, and we will soon reach them, offering them the high-quality services that characterize us”.

Now, the 16 MAC Hospitals units that are in operation are in the following locations:

    • Aguascalientes North.
    • Aguascalientes South.
    • Celaya.
    • Mexico City (Periférico Sur).
    • State of Mexico (Tlalnepantla).
    • Guadalajara.
    • Irapuato.
    • Los Cabos.
    • Los Mochis.
    • Merida.
    • Mexicali.
    • Puebla.
    • Queretaro.
    • San Miguel de Allende.
    • Tampico.
    • Veracruz (Boca del Rio).

The other five that are expected to be inaugurated during the remainder of 2022 are the following:

    • Guanajuato (capital).
    • León.
    • La Viga (CDMX).
    • Cuemanco (CDMX).
    • Ecatepec.

Hospitales MAC started this year 2022 with 2,697 collaborators. As of today, there are already 3,449 and the company expects to close the year with more than 4,000. In this way, the expansion benefits not only patients but also health professionals because each new opening generates vacancies.
