We are in the holiday season and what better way to celebrate than with a good beer. That’s why we want to recommend the best Mexican beers for you to enjoy with your family and friends. Any of these seven beers will be ideal for you to enjoy.

Mexico has a long-brewing tradition; it is not for nothing that it is the first country in exporting these beverages. And, according to UNESCO, the country is in sixth place when it comes to beer consumption. On average, a Mexican ingests 62 liters of beer annually.

For this reason, it is not unusual that it even has its own national day (August 3). Although it has already passed, any excuse is a good one to try any of these representative labels. Check out our list of the best Mexican beers and choose your favorite.

    OUR SELECTION OF MEXICAN BEERS

    ALLENDE BROWN ALE

From the Allende brewery, located in San Miguel de Allende. It is “Brown Ale” style and has an alcohol level of 5.0%, with compact foam and mahogany tone. You will be fascinated by its malty flavors with light and dark caramel, combined with black bread and toasted nuts.

    BOHEMIA

From Heineken Mexico, made in CDMX. This Pilsner-style beer has an alcohol volume of 5.3%. It is golden in color with a robust body. It is made with Styrian hops from Central Europe, which gives it its great flavor and aroma. Its liquid is similar to red wine.

    MEXICAN IMPERIAL STOUT

With 9% alcohol, it is made for resistant palates. From Cervecería Calavera and Imperial Stout style, this dark beer is high in roasted malts. It tastes of chocolate and coffee, with British hops. But the touch is given by the chili peppers… A unique experience!

    DOS EQUIS

Created in 1984, with an alcohol content of 4.3%, this Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma beer is a pale lager with little foam. It has a mild malt flavor, especially sweet, with fruity and caramel notes. It also has a light citrus aroma.

    VICTORIA
It is one of the brands with the longest tradition of Grupo Modelo. Made in 1935, it has an alcohol volume of 4.5%. Its malt aroma is delicate and its amber color is unique to Mexico. Undoubtedly, with its high-quality hops, it is a perfect beverage for everyone.

    MODELO ESPECIAL

Another beer from Grupo Modelo, even older. It was created in 1925, just in the year the company was founded. It is of the American pilsner type and has 4.5% alcohol. It stands out for its “liquid gold” color and its fruity aroma, with notes of malt, grains, and honey.

    NOCHE BUENA

Also from the Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma brewery. This beverage has an alcohol percentage of 5.9%. It is the first Bock beer, originally from Germany, made in Mexico. It is characterized by its robust body and dark color. As its name suggests, it is a nod to Christmas, which is why it is available from October to December.
