    On June 26, 1991, the “Dragones de la Reina” War Band was founded at the initiative of the Municipal President, Manuel Zavala Ramirez. For 30 years this band has been unique in its discipline, loyalty and national recognition.

    The “Dragones de la Reina” War Band was born from the initiative of the Municipal President Manuel Zavala Ramirez, who had the idea of integrating a war band to represent the municipality. With the help of Mr. Federico Flores and Prof. Esteban Perales Morales, the band was organized and founded with the help of young Sanmiguelenses.

    For generations about 30 elements in ranks, Sergeant I and II as well as 9 more of escort, guide and pennant conform this recognized war-band “Dragones de la Reina” honoring the military regiment of General Ignacio de Allende y Unzaga, the first soldier of the homeland and favorite son of this city. The inauguration of this group took place on June 26, 1991, being witnessed by a contingent of the 16th. Military Zone during a mournful civic act in this same city.

He also participated on several occasions in Mexico City leading the “Parade of the Military Youth” in honor of Squadron 201, exhibition in the Zócalo, Monument to the Revolution, and Angel of Independence in Mexico City.
