On the evening of July 11, the Mexican Army Orchestra arrived by surprise at the main garden of San Miguel de Allende to offer an evening of music to all the people of San Miguel de Allende and visitors who were in the historic center.

It all began at 6:30 in the evening in the atrium of the Oratorio, where elements of the Military Region No. 12 based in Irapuato began to arrive. Already at this point, four elements were positioned surprisingly and wind instruments began to sing the song “Querida” by Juan Gabriel, then the percussion instruments appeared and trumpets, tubas, and clarinets arrived, ending with the conductor joining the orchestra, providing an afternoon of music to the streets of the Heritage City with songs by Juan Gabriel and Marco Antonio Solis.

From there, the orchestra moved down Insurgentes Street, then Relox, and arrived at the main garden, while San Miguel residents and visitors joined the contingent.

It is worth mentioning that the objective of these presentations is to create a closer relationship between the Mexican Army and the citizens.

At the foot of the Parish of San Miguel Arcangel, a stage was already installed where the Army orchestra delighted the audience with a concert of approximately 1 hour where they performed famous melodies in the light of the sunset.

To close the show with a flourish, the orchestra said goodbye with the song “El Rey”, a classic song by the singer-songwriter José Alfredo Jiménez.
