Soriana warehouse in Plaza La Luciérnaga catches fire; only material damages were caused.

The storage warehouse of the “Soriana” supermarket in Plaza La Luciérnaga caught fire; only material damages resulted from the incident.

The incident was reported through the 911 Emergency System and 96 people were evacuated, including those inside the supermarket and 9 adjoining stores.

The possible cause of the fire was the heating of a refrigerator that was in direct contact with shelves of toilet paper and other items that caused the combustion; no people were injured.

Firefighters and PC elements were coordinated to work on the fire.
