San Miguel consolidates local economy with international investment

    After 10 years of having started the dream, today the industrial sector with global impact in San Miguel de Allende is a reality that is consolidated with the new Le Bélier plant.

    During the inauguration in San Miguel of the plant for this French company of aluminum components for the automotive and aeronautical industry, the municipal president, Mauricio Trejo, recalled the importance of pursuing dreams, such as the one that began in 2013, when the first stone was laid for what is now the Business Park, which generates jobs for more than 5 thousand people, mainly San Miguel residents.

    “It is personal pride because I was fortunate to be mayor from 2012 to 2015 and in 2013 we laid the first stone of this industrial development 2013. Today we have one more industry, we have one more space where low-income Sanmiguelans will have the opportunity to train, a very well-paid job. These are the projects that detonate the economy and these are the projects of social development. Le Bélier comes to add well-being to the people of San Miguel. Congratulations, Le Bélier,” said Trejo Pureco.

    During the opening ceremony in the company of the Governor of the State, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, the Mayor highlighted the confidence of this French firm and Chinese capital to invest in San Miguel; he also stressed the importance of working as a team with the State Government, making synergy with the Secretary of Government Libia Garcia and the Secretary of Sustainable Economic Development Ramon Alfaro.

    In response, the Governor of the State of Guanajuato welcomed the investments in San Miguel de Allende, as Le Bélier did, where 398 direct jobs will be created in this T1 supply plant and will be an example in the reconfiguration of the automotive industry towards electric cars.

    Thanking Trejo Pureco for his friendship, the State Executive emphasized that in San Miguel there are results, with teamwork based on trust that diversifies San Miguel’s economy, for which he called to close ranks in favor of this World Heritage City.

    During the opening ceremony, Mauricio Trejo and Diego Sinhue Rodríguez, as well as special guests, cut the symbolic ribbon, toured the facilities, and unveiled a commemorative plaque. Le Bélier executives were led by CEO Yan Chen and the director of Le Bélier Mexico, Ange Karl Rasidy.

    Le Bélier is a global corporation, that specializes in the manufacture of precision aluminum molded components for the automotive and aeronautical sectors, mainly braking systems, chassis, structure, and air intake, with 4.0 technology.

    With the arrival of new world-class companies, the Municipal Government continues to join efforts with the State Government and the Private Initiative, so that the people of San Miguel de Allende are better every day.
