Restaurants will only be able to sell alcohol until 8 pm

    In view of the increase in COVID-19 infections worldwide, and in response to the Red Light in force in the state of Guanajuato, the municipal government of San Miguel de Allende issued new measures that will go into effect on Monday, January 11, including alcohol sales in restaurants until 8 pm and 50% capacity in restaurants and hotels.

    After a work meeting with the health cabinet and in agreement with the State Government’s Health Secretariat, the municipal president Luis Alberto Villarreal García determined to reinforce the sanitary filters in the city’s accesses to avoid the mobility of the virus from one city to another.

    In accordance with state and federal regulations, the celebration of events of any kind is suspended, including social events, conventions and business events, as well as all kinds of festivities.

    The hours of sale of alcoholic beverages in restaurants are limited to 8:00 pm, while the closure continues until 10:30 pm, with a capacity of 50%.

    The dry law is also maintained for the sale of alcohol in bottles closed from Fridays from 17:00 hours, Saturdays and Sundays, resuming until Monday at 12:00 hours.

    The hotels will continue to operate at 50% of their capacity.

    In the markets and tianguis the disposition stays so that they can be installed only retailers who prove to reside of permanent way in the municipality.

    The capacity in worship centers remains at 30%, as well as in spas and recreational parks.

    In parks, gardens and avenues that are operating, the capacity allowed will remain at 50%. Gyms will continue to operate according to the capacity stated in the “Health First” certificate; beauty parlors, barbershops and hairdressers will only be allowed to operate with reservations, and waiting rooms will be prohibited.

    In order to reinforce the correct application of the actions decreed by the City Council, it is reiterated that the failure to comply with the health protocols will result in the cancellation of the “Health First” certification and will force the closure of the business.
