The fifth stage of the 2021 season of the Professional Golf Tour begins, which will be held at Ventanas de San Miguel Golf & Resort in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato

For the fourth time in the history of the Professional Golf Tour, the Ventanas de San Miguel Golf & Resort welcomes the only paid golf circuit in our country, this time for the fifth date of the 2021 season. The II Ventanas de San Miguel ProAm will begin tomorrow with the participation of 75 professionals, who will play the tournament with an amateur. Among the players who stand out in the field is José de Jesús “Camarón” Rodríguez, champion of the fourth stage last month in Amanali. “I am very happy to return to San Miguel de Allende, where we are always treated wonderfully. This format is different from what we have been doing normally, living with the amateurs will be very nice. I see all the amateurs very happy with this tournament,” said “Camarón” Rodríguez, winner at Ventanas de San Miguel in 2017.

Rodriguez, a member of the Korn Ferry Tour, is currently in second place in the Professional Golf Tour Ranking, 120,492 points behind first place, Guatemala’s Jose Toledo. “Day by day, we work our hardest to try to win, and we hope to play well,” added the Guanajuato native. Jose Toledo commented: “I am very happy to be back in Mexico, I have just played three tournaments on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica. Ventanas de San Miguel is a great course and the city not to mention, it reminds me a lot of Antigua Guatemala, so it brings back many memories, it will be a different tournament playing with amateurs”. Players such as Mexicans Isidro and Juan Carlos Benitez, Armando Favela, Oscar Fraustro, Carlos Treviño, as well as Brazilians Alexander Rocha, Rafael Becker and Argentinean Alan Wagner will also be present. The II Ventanas de San Miguel ProAm is part of the Dev Series of the PGA Tour Latinoamérica and will distribute a purse of one million 600 thousand pesos.
