Michel Reyes Lucio, President of the municipal DIF system, was present last Monday at the presentation of the 8th edition of “Fashion Day’s”, a fashion platform with a cause, which will take place on November 3, 4, and 5 in San Miguel de Allende and for the 1st time on November 5 in Dolores Hidalgo.

Michel Reyes, in an interview, gave more details of his participation and what he is looking to generate from this event. He pointed out that a large number of people from all over Mexico are expected to visit the event, which is also intended to promote the city. This is one of the first actions taken by the municipal DIF to address some of the problems that exist in the municipality, so he added that the proceeds will be used to support children with disabilities with wheelchairs and hearing aids, as well as the elderly who require them.

He added that the way in which funds will be raised, a dinner will be held after the catwalk and tickets will be sold, for approximately 400 people, so that all the proceeds will be used to buy wheelchairs and hearing aids, as well as other more sophisticated or specific devices for more complicated illnesses. He emphasized that they already have a list of the people who will be supported, but if anyone else requires it, they can approach the DIF to manage the support.

The designers will donate some garments to be raffled and thus generate more resources and support. He concluded by inviting the entire population of Dolores and the region to the catwalk that will be held in the main garden, it will be completely open.
