Karlais the new queen of the farmer in SMA

A native of the community of El Paredón, young Karla Rodríguez was crowned as the new queen, standing out before the jury for her presence, public performance, attitude as a social representative, general knowledge and knowledge of Sanmiguelense culture, in addition to her all-around beauty.

Already as Reina del Campesino 2022, “Karla I” will begin her participation representing the sanmiguelenses in the series of public events and actions in favor of the people that are carried out by the Municipality as well as social organizations.

“It was (an environment) very nice, very respectful. All of them were accompanied by their families and people from their communities, and of course, there were the traditional cheers. After the election and coronation, we continue to invite them to participate with us in some parades, and some commemorative acts and get involved in service actions. By representing a community and San Miguel de Allende, they are invited to many positive activities where they do a representative job as ambassadors of the culture, of the information we handle about San Miguel,” said the Director of Culture Traditions, Acacio Martinez.

The representation carried out by the Reina del Campesino also contributes to the social benefit, since “they even become managers, because they bring to the (Municipal) Administration the needs of the communities, they carry out projects that they manage to create. They become collaborators of all the communities. This gives very positive results”.

This popular contest among the representatives of the more than 540 communities of San Miguel took place this Sunday night, August 28, at the Angela Peralta Theater, with the presentation of the 9 finalists who, amidst the cheers of the 400 attendees that filled the most prominent cultural center of this municipality, competed to be the new sovereign, emanating from the rural area of San Miguel.

Karla, I received this distinction from the outgoing queen Maricruz I, who performed with dignity during the last year.

The event was enlivened by the Sanmiguelense singer Cesar Valderrama, accompanied by mariachi, which motivated the attendees to live this popular Sanmiguelense celebration and even to endure the wait for the result of the judges until the moment, Karla, I was crowned as the Queen of the Peasant 2022.
