Hollywood film shot in SMA, Guanajuato and Pozos, opens in Mexican theaters

The movie “Al límite de la venganza”, was filmed in the Magical Town of Mineral de Pozos, in San Luis de la Paz, and in the World Heritage Cities of Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende, premiered this Thursday in movie theaters.

The Film Commission of the State of Guanajuato (CFGTO), an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, supported the production’s efforts so that actors such as Frank Grillo, Andie McDowell, Jake Allyn, George López, Jorge Jiménez, Ofelia Medina, Esmeralda Pimentel, and Andrés Delgado, gave life -in Guanajuato- to the characters in this contemporary Western-type drama.

“It’s a personal drama about crossing the borders within ourselves. This film is about the hope that we can move beyond the negative stereotypes on both sides of every border, and change the way the world sees Mexico,” said director Conor.

Guanajuato has become one of the preferred destinations for the national and international film and audiovisual industry, not only for its fantastic locations but also for the facilities provided by the CFGTO for the realization of its projects.

The partnership between the Producers and the Government of the State of Guanajuato to carry out the filming of this important Hollywood film promotes a positive image of the state as a safe destination that can attract both tourism and private investment.

In the state of Guanajuato, the film is already available at Cinépolis and Cinemex.
