The director of Charco del Ingenio, Mario Hernandez, shared on his networks that the water can no longer be retained in the upper part of San Miguel de Allende due to “mismanagement by the authorities.”

Showing an image of the Las Colonias dam, inside the Charco del Ingenio, where it shows the strong pressure with which the water now flows down which then goes to the Las Cachinches stream.

“The mismanagement of the territory by the authorities today is evidenced by the downward flow of water that today can no longer be retained in the upper part due to changes in land use.

“Business prevails before the protection of risks to the citizenry,” he added.
