Health Day held at Plaza Cívica

On the occasion of International Women’s Health Day, the Instituto Municipal de Atención a la Mujer (IMAM), organized the Health Fair, putting different health services mainly close to women, with attention also to men and children from San Miguel.
This Saturday the Health Fair was held at the Civic Plaza, where hundreds of Sanmiguelenses had the opportunity to learn and take advantage of prevention knowledge, medical consultations, specialized treatments, and diagnosed accessories such as glasses, breast implants, and controlled medications; all free of charge for Sanmiguelenses who required it.
At this Health Fair, the presence of several mobile medical units was highlighted, which brought free consultations and medicines, pap smears, breast implants, dental care for children up to 12 years of age, visual consultations, and passes for mastographies; additionally, IMAM imparted, in its facilities at La Rotonda, a workshop on violence for emotional care patients.
“Affirmative actions are carried out all over the world to prevent and treat and replicate all that the Health Sector can do for women, in terms of improving their quality of life… these were the strongest actions we were carrying out to inform citizens about the importance of care, self-care and prevention…. the response was very good, they came from different places, both rural and urban areas, from different parts of the neighborhoods, and we recognize the effort and work of the president is giving this attention to the citizens, in this case to women”, concluded the head of IMAM.
The Health Sector of San Miguel de Allende participated in this edition of the Health Fair, among the institutions that joined, with stands, mobile medical units and care and information modules, was the Sanitary Jurisdiction II, the Center for Integral Attention of Essential Health Services (Caises), the General Hospital Felipe G. Dovarganes, the Unidad de Especialidades Médicas en Centros de Atención Primaria en Adicciones (Uneme CAPA) and the civil association Patronato Pro Niños, all coordinated by the Municipal Government, through IMAM, with the support of the Coordinación de Salud de la Dirección de Bienestar y Desarrollo Social.
