Giant brass star placed in Cuadrante and Cuna de Allende plaza

A giant brass star, a typical handicraft of San Miguel de Allende, is displayed in the small square on the street of Cuadrante and Cuna de Allende, which for years was occupied by private restaurants.

Let’s remember that this plaza, until February 2022, was occupied by the restaurant owned by the husband of the former Director of Culture, Paulina Cadena Gallardo, who apparently facilitated the procedures for her husband to open this business when she was still an official.

The members of the Cabildo of San Miguel de Allende approved that this place is rescued and recovered for the citizens since it is a public road in the hands of private individuals.

The tables and chairs of the restaurant called Santos were removed from the place and the place was suspended, where now the big brass star that is an important part of San Miguel’s handicrafts is displayed.
