Experts discuss the future of water in Guanajuato

The water crisis and technology in water processes were the topics addressed during the second day of activities of Beyond Water 2022 in San Miguel de Allende with the participation of experts from Mexico, Israel and the Netherlands as well as representatives of the Toyota company.

Technology in water processes in industry by Leonardo Bassi of Toyota Mexico was one of the presentations in which he highlighted the importance of technological innovation in this sector to achieve hydraulic procedures that are adequate and efficient.

He said that the industry remains in constant evolution and water is no exception, so they have implemented and promoted actions of efficiency and conservation of water in their processes to progress towards a sustainable future.

Teachers Eduardo Vázquez Herrera and Jorge Alberto Arriaga Medina presented the conference “Long-term solutions to the water crisis in Mexico” where they presented a general diagnosis of the hydraulic situation of the country.

They stressed the importance of generating plans, programs, projects and concrete actions in the short, medium and long term to guarantee and achieve universal water sustainability and that the inhabitants have water in quantity, quality and opportunity.

Efficiency in the use of water in Israel was the conference in which Ana Victoria Chávez of the commercial office of the Embassy of Israel shared how this country has developed innovative policies around the management of water resources, which has meant them to be pioneers in the development of technified drip irrigation, reuse of treated wastewater and development of effective instruments for integrated water management.
