If you think of Guanajuato, probably the first thing that comes to your mind is the Museum of the Mummies, the Cervantino Festival, or the hot air balloons. However, one attraction you can enjoy is its wide variety of wines.

Maybe you didn’t know it, but Guanajuato is the fourth state that produces the most wine, with an annual production of 700 thousand bottles.

The producers of this state organized 10 wine harvests, as a ceremony to give thanks to the land for allowing them to have this fruit.

The grape harvests will be held every two weekends at the Wine Museum and in vineyards located in the municipalities of Dolores Hidalgo CIN, Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, San Felipe, and León.

The state has dozens of vineyards, and most of them have wine routes that allow you to take guided tours. One of them is Camino de Vinos, a few steps away from the Parador de Sangre de Cristo, a mining community that holds history in every corner and this vineyard has the characteristic of being the highest vineyard in Mexico.

That is why during the months of July and August you can tour the wine route.
