    As part of the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the Ignacio Ramírez Cultural Center «El Nigromante,» they are presenting a playful exhibition called «Games, dreams and an afternoon in the Alameda.»

    As the name suggests, it is an interactive exhibition. You will be able to in mingle and play with the emblematic characters of Rivera ‘s work. Among them are Hernán Cortés, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Benito Juárez, el Globero, Frida Kahlo, la Catrina, José Guadalupe Posada, and many more.

    The exhibition is designed to offer an experience for the whole family. A series of activities allow visitors to get to know the life and work of the famous Mexican painter and muralist.

    Diego Rivera painted more than 10,000 works throughout his life; this includes paintings and murals. He was passionate about the history of Mexico, and collected popular art and pre-Hispanic pieces. He traveled extensively, and spent a great deal of time in different countries where he enjoyed life with his sharp, intelligent sense of humor.

    Rivera drew, read, researched and wrote about topics that interested him, such as inequality and injustice. His greatest wish was that Mexico would have a transformative social change that would afford freedom and justice for all.
