Civil Protection has no equipment to work with and yesterday they were flooded again

Sources inside the municipal government stated that since the flooding that occurred on Saturday night, May 15 and early Sunday morning, May 16, where documents, papers, computer equipment, office material, radios, telephones, etc. were lost, Civil Protection has not been equipped again.

In the Obraje and Presa del Obraje streams, the water rose strongly over the bridge, and a tractor-trailer ran off the road on the Dolores Hidalgo highway.

After leaving all morning to go to the aid of the citizens, the Civil Protection personnel returned almost at dawn to their offices, but they were already flooded by the water. The administrative equipment was damaged and they had to work on extracting water and rescuing material from their offices.

The management issued a communiqué saying that “for the moment there would not be any procedures because no work could be done”.

Right now they are working on party tables that they are borrowing from the Industrial Park, instead of buying equipment they went to the Industrial Park and asked them to lend them tables and chairs.
