The Municipal Government headed by President Mauricio Trejo renewed the image of Clouthier Park by filling its walls with artistic expressions in graffiti, this activity was carried out as part of the “Month of Youth” by the Municipal Institute of Youth Services (IMAJSMA) through the call to several young Sanmiguelenses who like to express themselves through artistic graffiti.

The intervened walls are adjacent to the facilities of the General Hospital Felipe G. Dovarganes, so now this hospital has a youthful visual environment, generating coexistence between both institutions and identity with the young people of San Miguel. For three weeks, the art of San Miguel’s youth was captured in the periphery of the hospital and today it is a reality.

Several young people exposed their motives that inspired them to capture their ideas and feelings on the walls of the park, with graffiti of letters and geometric shapes, with a range of cheerful colors, tones, and similar lines, representing a rigid lifestyle that is liberated with art.

The inauguration of this new image of the park, located on Primero de Mayo Street in the Ignacio Ramírez subdivision, took place among municipal authorities headed by councilwoman Enedina del Carmen Correa, representing municipal president Mauricio Trejo, who highlighted urban art as a channel for the expression of the feelings of San Miguel’s youth.

As the organizer of this event, Genaro Sánchez, secretary of the IMAJSMA, highlighted that each young person painted their unique stamp on a wall in this emblematic park in the upper part of the municipality.

During the tour, the young artists from San Miguel expressed their art and several of the elements painted individually or in collaboration, since the murals show human figures, animals, and other species of nature, manifestations of Mexican popular culture, colorful strokes, free backgrounds, rigid bodies, geometric objects, lettering, diverse calligraphy and typographic signatures of different styles.
