It is said of the “Love of the Good” which is a relationship based on respect and mutual support and love in a healthy way. This same concept is taken by the foundation of the same group which is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about romantic relationships.

Its mission is to reduce the terrifying numbers of femicides in Mexico (11 women are killed every day by their romantic partner) as well as to encourage healthy behaviors in relationships.

All this is addressed from workshops that are given to young people where they are shown shocking audiovisual material so that they reflect on the signs of a healthy relationship and a toxic relationship.

Now the foundation has the honor of inviting Local Guide and the entire community of San Miguel de Allende to the premiere of his new short film entitled “Tras El Velo” by award-winning director Brendon Milan Howells where the screenwriter will tell us what is behind the realization of this audiovisual material through a Q&A after the show.

The Premiere will be at the Teatro Santa Ana this October 14 at 5pm. In the same way, the event will be enlivened by a Jazz painting headed by maestro Víctor Hugo Ramos Fonseca and the delight of the voice of soprano Gabriela Perales.

The Foundation supported by its co-founder Ola Milan-Howells has had a great growth but now needs your support by attending the event to continue expanding with its important work.

Visit the Amor del Bueno for more information about the event.

It is time to start wanting beautiful, it is time to improve our interpersonal relationships and to communicate this healthy way of relating to ourselves and to others to all San Miguel.

    See you there!

“We educate young people about the signs of an unhealthy relationship so they can identify early signs of abuse and safely escape the relationship before it escalates to violence. This is done by providing virtual resources and trainings as well as in-person workshops given by trained facilitators.  All of our work is geared to teach people how to love better.”

How we work Our workshops are centered around engaging young adults in dynamic and honest conversations about relationships.  This is done through the use of powerful films followed by an in-depth discussion about the larger themes of boundaries, consent, and respect. Following this, interactive activities are used to solidify the participant’s understanding of healthy and unhealthy relationships. Why do we do it in Mexico? This organization was started by mother and daughter team Olga Milan-Howells and Sophia Milan-Howells, in association with the One Love Foundation. Seeing the importance and success of the film that they had created for the One love, “Amor del Bueno”, they decided to bring it back to their own community in Mexico.
