After almost 2 years out of service (1 year and 10 months), the Integral Rehabilitation Center (CRISMA) is back and currently serves 250 people.

In November 2019 was inaugurated the Integral Center to attend to children, youth, and adults with some disability (CRISMA) of the foundation Vamos México, of which Marta Sahagún, wife of former president Vicente Fox, is president, where after 4 months (in March 2020) they had to close due to the covid pandemic, but they have already resumed their services.

They opened as soon as the authorities authorized them, they have been open for approximately 4 months and they return with the same redoubled enthusiasm as when they opened it the first time, to be able to attend to all the children, girls, young people and adults, who need their rehabilitation service, both physical and neurological.

“What we have been doing is this great reopening to be able to bring more and more patients, this is a place that has room for 500 patients, has the largest therapeutic tank in Mexico, has all the services needed for comprehensive rehabilitation, it also has obviously speech therapy, psychology, has everything you need to provide excellent service, “said Marta Sahagún in an interview.

Today the Rehabilitation Center held a meeting with different NGOs in San Miguel de Allende, some of these were: the Public Library, the Patronato Proniños, the Rotary Club, Apoyo a Gente Emprendedora, and more, so that they know them and that these associations through their work in the municipality, tell people that there in CRISMA there are many services that sometimes they need and do not know.

“Read and listen to us, know that the Integral Rehabilitation Center has excellent services to attend to disability issues, physical, neurological, for all ages, just now they just told us that our youngest patient is 22 days old, just imagine and our oldest patient is 80 years old”, added the president of the Rehabilitation Center.

The former president of Mexico, Vicente Fox, was also present at the conversation, sitting next to his wife Marta, listening to the representatives of the civil associations and interacting with them as well.

After its reopening in the first days of January of this year, CRISMA has seen 250 patients to date, a little less than before it was closed due to the pandemic.

“During the four months before the pandemic, before we had to close, we had a few more patients, during the pandemic many things happened, people moved to another place, in short, different circumstances, but we are going to look for all those we already had and much more, today it is a living center and it is a specialized center that provides integrated services to these patients and that above all seeks to reintegrate them into society according to their progress so that they can have a better chance in life”, concluded Sahagún.
