The History of Art in San Miguel: The Virgin of Loreto

Many ancient artworks grace the buildings in San Miguel, with elaborate niches containing statues of various saints. One of the most prominent is on the facade of the Casa de la Canal, the mansion built in the 1700s. It was the home of one of the wealthiest families that settled here, and one that would leave behind a great legacy of secular and religious buildings.
