On-going Art Workshops are back!

Art Classes for 2023

1. Pours Acrylic pours paintings is paintings made with many colors of acrylic paint, which mixed with a pouring medium, like Floetrol or Liquitex, and silicone oil. When all of these are mixed it gets poured on a cradled boards or canvas and paper. It creates a cool marble-like design, add silicone oil inside the paint mixture to create “cells” in the painting. The painting moved, tipped, or manipulated to form a shape.

2. 3D Art Yupo paper and alcohol inks. Melting Yupo paper using wood-burning tools to create designs and then layer several pieces together to give 3D effect.

3. Alcohol Inks on Yupo paper

Alcohol inks are alcohol-based highly pigmented ink that is diluted with isopropyl alcohol.

Learn how to create beautiful abstract paintings with just inks and a blow dryer.

4. Mixed Media that will make use of different materials including cloth, paper, wood, found objects, stencils, texture using plaster and acrylic paint. Take home 2 paintings.

5. Sculpture Plaster Art Painting 2 day class

Three-dimensional art made with plaster: carving, modeling, casting, constructing.

6. Abstract Painting 2-day class

Pour background with acrylic paint and make your acrylic skins on 1st day.

Add acrylic skins, squiggles, dashes, petals, pinwheels, stencil work, and everything in between on the 2nd day.

4 different 1-day and 2 different 2-day workshops.

Monday through Friday, weekly. Weekend classes on special request.

All supplies are provided.

Maximum 4 students per class. No experience necessary, all levels welcome.

One day workshops $125 USD + $25 for all supplies (or peso equivalent)

$100 USD deposit to reserve space. Class 10:00am – 3:00pm

Two-day workshops $165 USD + $25 for all supplies (or peso equivalent)

$100 USD deposit to reserve space. Class 10:00am – 1:00pm on 1st day and 10:00am – 1:00pm on 2nd day. Pieces need drying time on 1st day before completing on 2nd day.
