San Miguel de Allende will bring together the best in music, art and gastronomy

    This Thursday was announced an extensive offer of special events that will take place during this and the coming months in San Miguel de Allende, which will bring together the best of music, gastronomy, and art that make this destination unique; and having as a backdrop important cultural references of this World Heritage City.

    As is tradition, the XIX National Jazz Encounter will take place in San Miguel de Allende on February 17, 18, and 19 at the Ángela Peralta Theater, with the objective of promoting talent and artistic innovation through music, in order to continue positioning this destination as a benchmark for high-level cultural events. These festivals have become an important attraction for all national and international travelers as well as for the people of San Miguel.

    To continue promoting this genre, next Friday, February 25, the Main Garden of San Miguel de Allende will be filled with music through a special event, the “Jazz Lounge”, which will be open to the public from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m., so that all attendees who pass through the picturesque streets of downtown San Miguel de Allende will be attracted by a distinguished jazz group and will be able to enjoy it at the site, which will have seats for spectators.

    On the same day, but in Houston, Texas, there will be “A Day in San Miguel”; an event where this important tourist destination will be present in the U.S. market so that they can enjoy cooking demonstrations, sensory experiences, a San Miguel style party, and a VIP dinner where the main representatives of the hotel industry, vineyards, artisans, restaurateurs, among other members of the city’s industry will be present.

    Similarly, at the end of the month, on February 25 and 26, gastronomy will take over San Miguel de Allende in the event “Komunal”, a project by the renowned chef from Colima: Enrique Hernandez, who will come to the kitchen of the Aperi restaurant located in the Hotel Dos Casas, to offer a distinguished culinary experience.

    Additionally, San Miguel de Allende will celebrate the tenth anniversary of Cumpanio, an important restaurant in the destination that over time has become a reference to start the day and enjoy brunch time. Diners will make an obligatory stop in the middle of the day at its bar to continue with the meal, being part of the agenda of those who visit this beautiful colonial city.

    On Friday, March 25, the Jardín Principal will once again host an important event, the “Bazar MUMU“, where all visitors, from 10:00 to 20:00 hrs, will be able to find more than 35 local exhibitors who will offer the public the most distinguished of their handicrafts, jewelry, textiles, art made with ceramics and much more.

    Composers Magos Herrera and Paola Prestino, together with outstanding musicians of the international scene created the project “Producción con Alma”, an album and a live digital experience of original works of traditional Mexican music and jazz, which was designed during the current pandemic and will be exhibited through a short film and 2 concerts in San Miguel de Allende during the month of April.

    The heart that makes Mexico beat continues to innovate, and in the coming months, the new Amatte hotel will open, which will offer all its guests a wellness concept for wellness and relaxation that promises to have unique experiences.
