Caja Negra Performing Arts is delighted to officially announce our collaboration with the prestigious cultural landmark, Instituto Allende.

Plans are now imminent to move our beautiful theater and create a Performing Arts Center, Gallery and Theater School at Instituto Allende in Centro.

We are now able to accept financial support to cover our legal and moving expenses. The future is bright and we are on the threshold of a new beginning.

Our opening productions, now in rehearsal and pre-production, are two Chekhov inspired plays by Brian Friel; The Lady and the Lapdog with Ivette Pizarro and Cristopher Berns and Afterplay with Clara Dunham and Rodrigo Demian.

Kiss of The Spider Woman with the original cast, Rodrigo Demian and Christian Baumgartner, will also be reprised for our inaugural season at our newly refurbished theater at Instituto Allende.

I Am My Own Wife with Alan Jordan is also in the planning stages.

The presence of a Performing Arts Center and professional repertory company in San Miguel is needed now more than ever.

Thank you for those of you that have attended our productions for the past 9 years.

We are so very grateful to our generous donors who continue to believe that San Miguel deserves a Performing Arts Center.

A huge shout-out to our Caja Negra Actors, Directors and Designers who have dedicated themselves and their talent to make this theater a reality.

Heaps of gratitude to the Instituto Allende for rolling out the welcome carpet.

As you can tell, we remain committed to this venture. We are here to stay! Please help us with your generous donation
