ESARTE ARTESAN JEWELRY
Project founder and jewelry designer is Claudia RiveraOur jewelry is hand made by 5 women who are incarcerated in the women’s prison in Queretaro, Mexico. Throughout 7 years of dedicated work they specialize in stringing, soldering and crocheting, skills that result in beautiful necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Traditional materials such as seeds, stones, wool and cotton threads and beads are used. In these workshops the women relax, create friendships, develop self-esteem and experience a respectful work environment. This shows in their beautiful work. Families benefit directly with weekly payments, a special promise of this project.
VINTAGE TEXTILES
Offered by Lydia-Jane FailingLydia-Jane worked at Christie’s auction house and lived in New York City in the 1980’s. One of her favorite pass times was going to flea markets and antique stores around the city, searching out interesting vintage fabrics, lace, hand-dyed textiles, silk, satin & linen.

ART & CRAFT by the CHILDREN OF OJALA
OJALA NIÑOSDuring these months of Covid, the program has been shut down. But we have been giving learning kits and art kits to the children once a week – with safety protocols. They continue to do beautiful work, but have no place to display or sell. You’ll enjoy the creativity that doesn’t ever wane.
