  • RITUAL DÍA DE MUERTOS

    SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2020 AT 6:30

    Casa Hoyos

The Day of the Dead is one of the most deeply rooted celebrations of pre-Hispanic tradition in Mexico, and the Hotel Casa Hoyos will commemorate life after death with a special ritual dedicated to those who came forward along the way.

    .

The hotel will be transformed into an offering dedicated to the Hoyos family and the families of its collaborators.
    .
The aroma of copal -used to drive away evil spirits-, will guide guests, guests and deceased through an arch of cempasúchil flower that will give entrance to the enclosure and will lead them to the central patio where the main offerings will be found. A traditional and colorful rug made of sawdust, seeds and flowers, in the center of which you will discover the figure of a skull, will be part of the elements with which the memory of those who passed away will be honored.
    .
We will perform a special purification ritual to show the dead the way back to “Mictlán” or “place of the dead”, as it was called by the Mesoamerican ethnic groups that worshipped death. A guide will accompany the attendees during the ceremony. In addition, the secret vault of the hotel will be opened for guests to come down and deposit a lighted candle in honor of their loved ones.
    .
    NOTE:
