MAGIC IN THE AIR – Andrew Osta Closing Show – Bordello Galeria at Casa de la Noche

About a month ago, Bordello Galería and Casa de la Noche, presented a special pop-up exhibition of one of San Miguel’s best loved artists, Ukrainian-born Andrew Osta. This beautiful exhibition comes to a close on September 22and 23.

Andrew Osta is a prolific and multi-talented artist. He is best known for his oil paintings, but he is also a songwriter and the author of a number of non-fiction books. He has a body of work that traverses many styles over nearly 20 years. Having never taken a class in art, he developed his own distinct style of painting. His work is almost entirely free of any signs of modern civilization. He is not interested in being contemporary; he is far more interested in being timeless.

Andrew’s colorful and uplifting artwork is well known around town. It hangs permanently in Hecho En Mexico and Lolita’s restaurants, in several galleries, and in dozens of homes. But it also hangs in salons in France and Monaco, as well as in Canada, the US, and Peru. Some of Andrew’s biggest supporters are museum directors and curators.

For the closing, Andrew is bringing several new Flying Mariachi / San Miguel themed pieces commissioned by Joya hospital.
