Philip Birdsong is a San Miguel de Allende based artist, musician, and designer.

Seven years ago, Philip began working with metal in his artwork; he uses metal as the canvas, allowing for the natural textures of nature and time effect upon the metal as the distinguishing feature. Metal was chosen initially for its enduring qualities and the corrosion makes a statement on its own in regard to the fleeting nature of all things. They each convey a story of love, endurance, and survival. “I am passionate about expressing a grace, that seems to be ethereal, in the material world”.
He recently opened Jaguar de Plata, a new art gallery located in El Vergel Bistro & Market, where he exhibits his artwork.
