The reasons that made the Chilean singer Benjamín Walker establish himself in Mexico
are emotional, personal, political and artistic, since he considers the country as a platform where a lot of creation converges.
Crossing borders has not only brought Benjamín friendships from which he has nurtured, he has also learned to recognize his concerns, open himself to vulnerability and the freedom to write from the depths of his experience the lyrics of his new album Libro
Abierto, which he presented on November 24, 2021 at the Weaver’s Forum with some
guests.
Benjamin wanted to capture in his third album the idea of facing a page, knowing that when reading a book there is an outcome that is yet to come. These ideas came together in an accumulation of experiences from a time in his life in which he has dedicated himself to music, not like in his previous works created at school or in college while studying Law. Latin Grammy nominee for best New Artist in 2018, and winner of the 2nd. place in the folkloric genre at the Viña del Mar Song Festival, with his song “Y arderán”, Benjamín Walker is a promise of Latin American music whom you will not be able to stop listening to.
