The San Miguel Singers will present their annual Christmas Concert, “ Christmas Carols and Favorites” on Friday, December 13 at 5pm at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Cardo. The concert will feature carols from a number of countries as well as some holiday favorites. It will be a wonderful evening of free entertainment that is guaranteed to put you into the holiday mood.
The San Miguel Singers is a non-professional group who come together and spend countless hours in rehearsal for the joy of singing and also because they like giving. Director Karen O’Malia, in her second year in that position, shares the joy that she has in working with volunteers of varying musical backgrounds who want to grow and learn in their music and singing skills.
The concert will also include flute, tambourine, and hand bells. Attenders will be in for quite a treat as they see, perhaps, for the first time, how as few as two people, or just one person, can single-handedly ring close to 24 bells. Karen started a hand bell choir at St. Paul’s almost four years ago. New members all always welcome to the group..The San Miguel Singers also welcome new members. If you have an interest in either group, Karen can be reached at preachitsister1@gmail.com..This year the proceeds from a free-will offering will support the work of “Feed the Hungry.” This organization was founded in 1984 and has grown to now offering free, nutritious hot lunches to children ages 3-12 in 36 campos in and around San Miguel. They also assist with food donations to 7 other charities that work to feed the needy among us.We invite you to come to the concert on December 13 and get into the holiday spirit – which also includes the joy of giving!
