Buena Vista Social Club was a band that took worldwide notoriety after the filming of a documentary made by the filmmaker Wim Wenders, who masterfully portrayed the concerts that this band offered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and in the Carnegie Hall of New York.
The Cuban group made great musicians and singers popular as Compay Segundo, Ibrahim Ferrer, Omara Portuondo, Manuel “Puntillita” Licea and Pío Leyva.
The legendary band ‘Buena Vista Social Club’ will arrive in San Miguel de Allende with all its virtuosity next Sunday, March 8, at 6:00 p.m., at the Plaza de los Insurgentes.
It is a show that should not be missed and that San Miguel and visitors can enjoy completely free.
