    Film: Juana Gallo

    The true story of Ángela Ramos (María Félix), a young peasant girl who, upon learning of the murder of her father and her boyfriend, takes up arms against the federal government, becoming the head of a guerrilla that successfully fought against the federal forces of the usurper Victoriano Huerta. This tense situation would become the Battle of Zacatecas. The people called her “Juana Gallo” for her fierceness.

    The film will be screened in Spanish audio with English subtitles.

    The Teatro Santa Ana is an intimate 91-seat theater, located inside the Biblioteca Publica. For over 20 years, the Teatro Santa Ana has been a premiere venue for theatrical productions, musical concerts, films and conferences in Centro historico San Miguel de Allende.
